Today is a National Argentine Holiday in commemoration of the Malvinas War (a.k.a Falklands War). This was a war between Argentina and the United Kingdom where 655 Argentine soldiers lost their lives trying to defend a group of islands that they believe is part of their country, yet ultimately lost.
